Isle & Wild creates small-batch soy candles that illuminate life's meaningful moments while supporting animal welfare. Since 2018, we've evolved from a book subscription service to a beloved candle company rooted in founder Amanda's Maine heritage and now based in Alexandria, Virginia.

But every Isle & Wild candle does more than create ambiance. At least ten percent of profits support animal welfare organizations, because we believe in shining light on animals in need. This mission runs deep. Amanda has championed animal welfare since childhood with fond memories of raising rabbits to using classroom projects to raise awareness for causes such as animal cruelty in cosmetics and wildlife threatened by human action.
That passion for animal rights has only grown stronger in adulthood, and the causes she's cared most about have centered on giving voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. Now, Isle & Wild will not only give back financially to these causes but will share stories and ways you can get involved to make the world a better place for our non-human friends.
Her rescue cat Rajah, who survived a hoarding situation in upstate New York and spent more than three months at a shelter before arriving at his furever home with Amanda, has been her constant companion and inspiration for the past eight years. Officially, at Isle & Wild, he is our grumpy quality manager!
Through Isle & Wild, Amanda hopes to help other animals find their forever homes as well as support organizations that rehabilitate wildlife and advocate for animal protection.
